This new hardware dramatically increases the performance of Block Storage and is offered at no additional cost. Building Blocks

• Add a Block Storage Volume to a Linode: Create a new Block Storage Volume, attach it to your Linode, create a filesystem, and mount your Volume.

• Attach an Existing Block Storage Volume to a Linode: Attach a Block Storage Volume that was previously created in the Cloud Manager or through the Linode API.

• Configure and Mount a Block Storage Volume to a Linode: Configure a Block Storage Volume on a Linode by creating a file system and mounting the Volume.

• Detach a Block Storage Volume from a Linode: Safely detach a Block Storage Volume from a Linode. A Volume should be detached before it is reattached to a different Linode.

• Delete a Block Storage Volume: Delete a Block Storage Volume when you no longer need any of the data it stores.

• Resize a Block Storage Volume: Increase the size of a Block Storage Volume after it has been created.

• Transfer a Block Storage Volume to a Different Linode: Move a Block Storage Volume to a different Linode within the same data center.
